MLC: The older we get, the better we were
Formed in 2002, MLC’s roots go back more than 25 years to 1976 when its founding members, Bob Watson, Jim Dorsey, Ken Myers, and Irv Groat attended the same junior and senior high school. Performing together at various parties and dances under the name “Skyline”, then later “Framework”, they enjoyed many years of successful gigging. As time later passed, the group went in various directions throughout college and post-college, concentrating more on careers and families. Eventually reassembling during July of their milestone 40th birthday year of '02 as a surprise for Irv, the four dusted off old equipment, re-tuned guitars, and quickly recalled their friendship and shared passion for music. They realized that although the passing years may have wreaked havoc on their waistlines and hairlines, their mutual love for good music was not tarnished. Rounding out the group is former bandmate of Jim, Vern Sousa, an accomplished bassist and vocalist and newcomer, Ken Heath, who brings his love of music and showmanship with his edgey vocal skills.Don't let the name fool you - these guys are at their musical peak, performing a full range of music from the classic dance hits of the 70s and 80s, mixed with an assortment of today’s music, covering such bands as Green Day, Foo Fighters, STP and U2.
