Ken Heath, Vocals

Born and raised in Maryland, mostly Pasadena, Maryland, I don’t have a strong music background like the rest of these guys. I sang in chorus in grade school, did a recital or two. Other than that mainly just sang in the shower and to get chicks (yeah ...it used to work). I was asked to be in a band when I was in my early twenties but declined because I didn’t think I could get up and sing in front of total strangers. Years later at the urging of friends I sang a little karaoke and got good response from those total strangers that I had been hesitant to sing in front of earlier.

In 2002 my friend,  Ken Myers , had picked up playing again, had heard me sing before, and wanted to do an acoustic thing at an "open mike night" somewhere. We practiced a few songs but never got there. Ken has a Halloween Extravaganza every year and his old high school band, which had gotten back together for Irv’s birthday party was playing. Ken let me get up and do a few songs with him. The band got serious about getting back together and Ken asked me if I would like to sing with the band. I said "Yes" and since Ken had bought all of the P.A. equipment, the other guys had no choice but to let me in the band. These guys are very talented and I am glad that they let their arms be twisted and gave me an opportunity to join them. I can carry a tune and enjoy performing with these guys. So come and hear us play if you get a chance, but don’t throw stuff.

A little inside joke we have with the Band: Check out this picture..
